Marat Akhmetov: There were 49 reports at the meetings at the Government House of the republic concerning the work of agro-industrial complex in 2017

On January 13, speaking at the Government House of the republic at the regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov reported that during regional meetings at the Government House of the republic there were 49 reports concerning the work of agro-industrial complex of the republic in 2017.

The main topic of Akhmetov’s reports became a certain rating of the regions of the republic. “In every report we tried to make a fair assessment of the situation in the industry, called successful regions, farming firms and holdings, informed about their work experience, and also mentioned those who did not do the full amount of work, made omissions in their work and yielded negative results,” Akhmetov said.

He also said that such issues as indicators of monthly or quarterly work of the industry, seasonal work progress in agriculture, implementation of the programmes of technical modernization of agro-industrial complex, development of small business pattern and their budgetary support, state of the economy of agricultural producers and their investment activity were discussed at the meetings during the last year.

Akhmetov also reported on the implementation of instructions from Tatarstan President, voiced during weekly video-conferences.

During the harvesting season the harvesting campaign, one of the toughest over the past years, was carried out with minimal losses due to the established bases led by the heads of municipal regions of the republic.

The training workshop for the heads of municipal regions and investors  on increasing the efficiency of dairy cattle husbandry, where senior executives of the advanced farms, representatives of science and colleagues from Kirov region, Saratov region, Nizhniy Novgorod region and the Republic of Belarus shared their experience, was organized and held.

Akhmetov mentioned that the training workshop caused vivid interest of the heads of municipal regions and expressed his hope that it will give significant contributions to the work of industry in the current year.
