About 5 % election constituencies in Tatarstan will be equipped with electronic voting complexes
08.11.2011About 5 % election constituencies in Tatarstan will be equipped with electronic voting complexes, Chairman of Central election commission Anatoly Fomin informed at a briefing in RT Cabinet in format of video conference “On preparing elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly of the 6th convocation in RT”.
Such complexes are to be installed at 146 constituencies in 33 regions of Republic. Thus, about 40 000 people will be able to take part in electronic voting. By the way, traditional voting procedure will not be available at such constituencies, Anatoly Fomin explained.
By and large, 2 857 election constituencies will be opened in republic on the Election day. Voting premises will be as usual located in educational and cultural institutions. The constituencies will be functioning from 8 a.m to 20 p.m.
Voting results will be sent on flash cards or disks to territorial election commissions and entered in State automated system “Elections”.
We remind in accordance with RF President Edict elections of deputies to RF State Duma of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly of the 6th convocation are fixed for December 4, 2011.
Preparation for the elections is carried out in accordance with the schedule on preparing and holding elections of deputies to RF State Duma.
On the territory of Tatarstan Republic elections are implemented by the Central election commission, 65 territorial election commissions, and 2 857 election constituencies. The number of voters in Tatarstan is 2 mln 911 thousand 727 people (for July 1, 2011).
