Rustam Minnikhanov hands in keys to new vehicles to the heads of rural settlements and municipalities of the republic

On December 21, at the square in front of the regional State Council, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in keys to new vehicles to the heads of rural settlements and municipalities of the republic.

Minnikhanov handed in 93 keys to Chevrolet NIVA cars to representatives of municipalities, four keys to Ford Transit buses to representatives of Kazan, and three keys to Ford Transit buses for the needs of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minnikhanov reminded that such an event to hand in keys to new cars to representatives of municipalities on the day of a regular congress of municipal councils has become a good tradition in the republic.

For the last seven years we have already handed over 1,770 cars to our local governments, Minnikhanov said. I believe that municipalities are the basis of the authority of the Government, and you are where the real life is, he added.

Tatarstan President noted that 37 social programmes to repair social facilities, to build sports and cultural sites are being implemented in the republic.
