Rustam Minnikhanov meets President and CEO of General Electric in Russia and CIS countries Ron Pollett

On December 19, at the regional Cabinet of Ministers, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with President and CEO of General Electric in Russia and CIS countries Ron Pollett.

“General Electric has been one of the leading foreign strategic partners of the republic for many years," Minnikhanov said welcoming the guests. He reminded that at a recent meeting held in October this year as part of his working visit to the United States, the mutual interest in expanding the cooperation between General Electric and Tatarstan enterprises was reaffirmed. Moreover, an agreement was reached to hold a seminar in Tatarstan on the introduction of digital technologies in the oil and petrochemical industry and power engineering. 

"We are interested in your company's experience in developing advanced digital solutions aimed at developing the oil and gas industry," Minnikhanov said.

It was noted during the meeting that specialists of General Electric will hold a one-day training seminar with the invitation of heads of petrochemical, power engineering, machine building and food processing enterprises in Kazan.

“The government of Tatarstan will continue to support your projects in the republic," Minnikhanov said. "Our joint work in this area has great prospects."

Representatives of General Electric Company made a presentation on digital transformation, giving information on forecasts from the introduction of digital transformation in Tatarstan and expected benefits of digitalization for commercial enterprises (increased productivity, increased efficiency, reduced costs, etc.).
