Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the commissioning of the region's largest gas distribution station

On December 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a commissioning ceremony of the reconstructed Minnibaevo-Kazan gas pipeline and opening the Bogorodskoye gas distribution station.

The reconstructed gas pipeline in the 220-285 km section will increase the supply of network gas up to 5.25 billion cubic meters per year, while gas supplies to Kazan will grow up to 4 billion cubic meters per year.

As noted at the event, due to the reconstruction of the gas pipeline hazardous production facilities were relocated outside Kazan. This helped to solve the important task and to ensure the possibility of further territorial development of the capital of the republic.

"Due to this project, Kazan has the opportunity to further expand housing construction. Gas has been supplied to the village of Gildeevo, where more than 500 houses, including for large families, have been built. And the republic has received a reserve for gas supply for the next 50 years,” Minnikhanov stressed.

Tatarstan President noted that close cooperation with Gazprom and its subsidiary in the republic, Gazprom Transgaz Kazan, allows the republic to successfully solve numerous tasks in terms of the implementation of large-scale economic projects.
