Rustam Minnikhanov meets senior executives of CAMCE and CNEPG Companies (China)

On December 15, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with senior executives of China CAMC Engineering Corporation (CAMCE) and China Environment Protection Corporation (CNEPG), who are on a working visit in Kazan as members of the Chinese delegation.

Chinese guests told Minnikhanov about the companies they represent, and noted that they are ready to assist in the development of issues related to processing and utilization of solid domestic waste, in establishing cooperation and sharing experience in this area.

CAMCE is an incorporated company affiliated to China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH), the largest association of Chinese engineering enterprises. CAMCE is a specialized supplier of international engineering services, mainly engaged in foreign engineering, investment and trading activities. The company is implementing projects in various fields, including petrochemical and mining industry, electric power engineering, engineering, water management and transport construction in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Latin America, Africa and Asia.

China Environmental Protection Corporation (CNEPG) is a subsidiary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group. Since 2000, the company has been developing and introducing new technology in the field of water resources use, production of new materials and utilization of solid domestic waste.

As noted at the meeting, CNEPG is engaged in pilot projects in the field of environmental protection. “We know that a waste processing plant to be built in Tatarstan will be the first one in Russia and will be of great importance. Therefore, we will be glad to share our gained experience,” representatives of CNEPG said.

Following the meeting, Minnikhanov gave an errand to set up a working group to look into the experience of Chinese colleagues in terms of solid domestic waste utilization and processing.

At today's meeting, Chinese guests were also presented the opportunities available in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.
