Rustam Minnikhanov awards winners of the 13th Regional contest "Fifty Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan"

On December 14, at the Korston Entertainment Complex, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the ceremony of awarding winners of the 13th Regional contest "Fifty Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan".

As many as 139 competitors won awards in eight nominations.

Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, Tatarstan President noted that for 13 years the contest has become one of the most significant regional events in the sphere of innovation. «Rewarding the best innovative ideas has become a good tradition for us.”

Minnikhanov said that the interest to this contest keeps increasing, with as many as 1864 applications received this year. “We are glad that the geography of the participants is expanding and covers not only cities and regions of our republic, but also regions of Russia and foreign countries,” Tatarstan President said.

According to Minnikhanov, there are many talented people in the republic, for whom we need to create conditions to turn their ideas into reality.

According to Pesoshin, this contest is a good way to find out new talents and ideas. There is a good opportunity to support inventors and to choose the best ones, he said in his welcoming speech.

“Due to social programmes, support of entrepreneurs, Tatarstan companies have a good opportunity to develop their business. The republic is open for cooperation with investment companies, companies-innovators, inventors, who are ready to make investments and use their research potential to promote and produce competitive and science-intensive products,” Pesoshin said.
