On December 14, at the Korston Entertainment Complex, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held an extended meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan with participation of federal and international partners.
In his opening speech, Minnikhanov thanked the Russian Venture Investment Association, the Russian Venture Company, the Fund for Promotion of Development of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere, the Industrial Development Fund, the Skolkovo Foundation and other venture funds for supporting the regional initiatives. "We are grateful to you for your active participation in the work of the Investment and Venture Fund and the opportunity to discuss further joint work. I am sure that we will be able to develop an optimal set of tools for developing the venture market and effective implementation of investment projects," Tatarstan President added.
Minnikhanov noted that active work is underway in the republic to develop new promising innovative projects. The Kazan Venture Fair, which has attained the status of the Russian Venture Forum this year, is held annually. Fifty Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan and IDEA-1000 competitions are also organized. The programme to accelerate innovation companies has been launched as well.
"Our joint work aims to make the republic the Russia’s innovative centre and place for the implementation of promising projects," Tatarstan underlined.
Then, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of the republic Ainur Aideldinov made a report on new tools to support small innovative entrepreneurship in Tatarstan.
Director General of the Russian Venture Company Alexander Povalko told the meeting about the strategy of the Russian Venture Company for 2017-2030.
Executive Director of the Russian Venture Investment Association Albina Nikkonen made a report on the organization and holding of the Russian Venture Forum in Kazan in 2018. It is planned that this event will be held on April 18-19, 2018.
The Investment and Venture Fund of the republic, the Fund for the Promotion of Innovation and the Idea Innovative and Production Technopark have been implementing the programme of innovative projects "IDEA-1000" since 2005. President of the Academy of Sciences of the republic Myakzyum Salakhov announced the results of the IDEA-1000 contest and the 13th regional contest "50 Best Innovative Ideas for Tatarstan”.
Director General of Pulsar Ecosystem Pavel Korolev reported on the results of the programme to accelerate the innovative projects in 2017.
