Nizhnekamsk and Kukmor regions of Tatarstan to develop cooperation with Chinese provinces

On November 18, a cooperation agreement between the city of Nizhnekamsk of Nizhnekamsk municipal region of Tatarstan and Meishan City of Sichuan Province, and a memorandum of cooperation between the city of Kukmor of Kukmor municipal region of the republic and Yuhuan City of Zhejiang Province were signed during a working visit of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to the People’s Republic of China. The cooperation documents were signed at a meeting between Minnikhanov and mayors of the cities.

Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov noted that the republic appreciates the high level of relations with China and attaches great importance to expanding all-round ties aimed at strengthening friendship and cooperation between Russian and China.

"Zhejiang Province is also one of the most developed provinces of China. I know that electronics and high technology, agriculture and medicine are developing in the province,” Minnikhanov addressed Mayor of Yuhuan City.

"The establishment of inter-municipal ties is one of the areas of the development of our cooperation. The agreement and memorandum signed today are another step in strengthening cooperation between our peoples," Tatarstan President summed up.
