Rustam Minnikhanov arrives in China

On November 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov and Director General of KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin arrived on a working visit in the Chinese Province of Shandong.

Shandong is one of the most densely populated and the richest Chinese provinces, with such well-developed branches of industry as engineering, mining, oil production and refining, chemical industry, etc. The Shandong Haier Company engaged in the production of household appliances is successful in doing business in Tatarstan.  

During his visit to the city of Weifang, Minnikhanov will attend the Weichai Power production facilities. The largest machine-building corporation of China is one of the recognized world leaders in the production of engines, electric generators, wheeled vehicles and automotive components with high technological potential and high level of quality of products. Weichai Power supplies its components to Russia, to the KAMAZ plant in particular.

Tatarstan President is also scheduled to have a meeting with the leadership of Shandong Province to discuss further steps to develop interregional cooperation.

Tomorrow, on the 18th of November, Minnikhanov will continue his visit to Guangdong Province.
