Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture: Winter crops sowed at the area of 500 hectares in Tatarstan

On October 20, at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House, First deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Nikolay Titov reported on current works on harvesting late crops and sowing of winter crops.

The session was held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with the participation of Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin.

Titov informed that the main cultivation of soil has been completed on the area of 1.6 mln hectares (81% of the plan).

All works have been finished at Sarmanovksy and Zainsky regions. Kamsko-Ustinsky and Verkhneuslonsky regions have shown the lowest rates.  

Tatarstan agrarians have harvested 2.5 m tonnes of sugar beet and the average yield has made 407 centners per hectare. Also, 36,5 thousand tonnes of sunflower have been harvested. 22,3 thousand tonnes of corn have been milled. Eleven regions have completed agricultural works in full, Titov said.
