Russian Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief and Tatarstan President hand over keys to new specialized equipment to regional rescue workers

On September 20, speaking at a ceremony of handing over keys to specialized equipment to regional rescue workers Russian Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Vladimir Puchkov appreciated the interaction between Tatarstan and the Ministry he heads. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the ceremony.

“We interact with all Russian entities in our day-to-day work. Tatarstan is one of the foremost regions in solving tasks of developing an integrated approach to life safety issues, implementing modern ideas and development in the activities of all agencies and departments," the Minister stressed.

"I would like to thank the staff for the work we carried out during the FIFA Confederations Cup this year. We did it perfectly without any comments. And I am sure that our republic will worthily host matches of the FIFA World Cup to be held next year. The Ministry of Emergency Situations cannot solve the tasks set without modern equipment. Therefore, the republic contributes to this. I assure you that we will continue to support the Tatarstan Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia," Minnikhanov said.

Then, Puchkov and Minnikhanov awarded the best employees of the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief and handed over keys to 12 new units of basic and specialized equipment, the total value of which exceeds 92 million roubles.  As noted at the event, the new equipment were purchased using both the federal and regional budgets.
