Rustam Minnikhanov opens new polylingual school in Sovetsky district of Kazan

On September 1, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of opening a new multidisciplinary polylingual gymnasium in Sovetsky district of Kazan.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russia Lyudmila Ogorodova, Minister of Education and Science of the republic Engel Fattakhov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the event.

The school is designed for 1220 students. It has specialized classrooms with transformable educational furniture, equipped with digital laboratories and lingua-phone facilities, sound and video recording studios, two swimming pools and two gyms, a choreography hall, an auditorium for 560 visitors and a canteen with 436 seats, a medical room and a sports ground.

The gymnasium is focused on two main areas: philological (linguistic) and information technology. Conditions have been created for studying English, Chinese, Arabic, Turkish, Spanish and French languages. 

“This is the second new school in Kazan. We have opened one more school in Naberezhnye Chelny this morning. Our main task is to create good conditions so that our children can obtain competitive advantages. We congratulate you on the beginning of a new school year. We wish you every success, and we want that your school be the most advanced and you be the most successful,” Minnikhanov said in his welcoming speech.

Minnikhanov and Ogorodova looked around educational facilities of the new gymnasium, got acquainted with the latest methods of polylingival training, and talked to teachers of the gymnasium at the tea table.
