On September 1, Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin congratulated pupils of a new multidisciplinary school No. 181 opened in Kazan on the beginning of the school year.

Modern classrooms of the new school are designed to accommodate 1224 pupils, but only 700 students have been enrolled so far. There are six first-grade classes at a time.

"Today the new school year has started. Our students traditionally show high scores in the United State Exam. We firmly rank third after Moscow and St. Petersburg in olympiads. Our students also have achievements at the international level. Much attention is paid to the educational infrastructure in the republic. Almost 1,000 kindergartens and schools have been repaired and 36 new schools have been built from 2011 to 2016. We would like to express our gratitude to the entire construction complex of the republic for their qualitative and responsible approach to this important matter," the Prime Minister said speaking at the event.

"Today is a long-awaited event. The construction of the school in one of the most actively developing micro-districts in our capital has completed. I would like to thank everyone, including Tatarstan President, the Government of the republic represented by our Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, builders for such a gift to the city. We are opening two new schools in Kazan today, three more educational facilities are under construction. We really need them, because the number of children is growing every year. And we still need kindergartens and schools,” Metshin said.

The school has two sports hall, two swimming pools, a fitness center, a well thought out kitchen block and a canteen, modern classes equipped with all the necessary facilities.

Pesoshin handed in a certificate for 100 thousand rubles, a gift from the republic, to a school representative.
