Tatarstan President takes part in business breakfast of Sberbank during St Petersburg International Economic Forum

On June 2, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnnikhnov continues his working trip to St. Petersburg. The main purpose of his visit to the northern capital is participation in events during the 21st St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

On the second day of the forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended traditional business breakfast of Sberbank was held on the sidelines of SPIEF-2017. The meeting themed “What to expect after May 2018?” focused on the discussion of prospects for Russia's development after presidential elections of 2018.

Among speakers at business breakfast were Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, President of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo Andrei Sharonov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes Andrei Makarov, Board Chairman of the Centre for Strategic Research Alexey Kudrin.

The meeting moderated by CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank Herman Gref discussed what vector of the country's development will be chosen after May 2018, whether socioeconomic reforms will have the opposite effect, becoming a kind of destabilizing factor, and how to support the technological development of Russia in these processes.
