Rustam Minnikhanov approves the programme on modernization of primary health care facilities of Tatastan for 2017-2018, submitted by Tatarstan Government

On April 24, the programme on modernization of primary health care facilities of Tatarstan for 2017-2018 was submitted to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

The programme was drawn up by the Government of the republic, following instructions of Russia's President Vladimir Putin voiced at his annual Address to the Federal Assembly.

The programme on modernization of basic health care facilities of Tatarstan for 2017-2018 envisages capital repair of polyclinics and its equipping with modern medical equipment in cities and municipal regions of the republic.

This year's programme will include a total of 43 polyclinics (74 facilities) servicing about 2 million people in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk and Almetyevsk.

The programme of 2018 will include primary health care facilities in all municipal regions of the republic - 37 institutions (78 facilities), as well as other specialized medical facilities, servicing about 1.2 million people.

Minnikhanov approved the submitted programme. He said this is a large-scale project, which requires efforts from all ministries and departments at both regional and municipal levels.

It is expected that the programme will be signed by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin today.
