Rustam Minnikhanov awards diplomas to winners of the 5th International Olympiad on Tatar language and literature

On April 21, at the Basket Hall in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the solemn closing of the 5th International Olympiad on Tatar language and literature.

Nakamura Mizuki (Japan) and Risalya Yusupova (Saby region of the Republic of Tatarstan) became main winners of the Olympiad.

Minnikhanov handed over diplomas and prizes to the winners.

Welcoming participants of the Olympiad, Minnikhanov thanked everyone for preserving the native language, culture, and traditions of the Tatar people.

In his turn Minister of Education and Science of the republic of Engel Fattakhov, who also took part in the event, noted: "The family plays the main role in preserving the native language. Our task is to create conditions for the development of native speech.” Fattakhov thanked all the participants of the Olympiad for their love and respect for the native language and culture of the Tatar people.

More than 500 people from 13 foreign countries, 25 Russian regions and regions of the republic took part in the final round of the Olympiad.
