Tatarstan President meets Governor of Hunan Province Xu Dazhe

On February 23, during his working trip to China, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had an official meeting with Governor of Hunan Province Xu Dazhe in the city of Changsha.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minnikhanov thanked Xu Dazhe for the invitation to visit Hunan Province, for hospitality and organization of the programme of the visit of Tatarstan delegation to the city of Changsha.

"I am impressed by the extent of the work being done under your leadership in Hunan Province. It is aimed at steady development of the province to improve the quality of life of its citizens," Tatarstan President said. "Hunan is a developed province in the central part of China, which is home to an outstanding statesman, the first President of China, Mao Zedong, and is famous for its rich cultural and culinary traditions. In addition, production of industrial equipment, construction, food industry and agriculture are your strong sectors of the economy," he added.

Minnikhanov emphasized that today the People's Republic of China is one of the most active economic partners of Tatarstan within the framework of cooperation with the Russian Federation.

Then, Tatarstan President briefly presented the industrial and investment potential of the republic as one of the leading and economically developed regions of Russia.
