Rustam Minnikhanov sends a telegram of condolences to Acting Governor of Murmansk region Andrei Chibis over the tragedy at Sheremetyevo airport

On May 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his condolences in connection with the tragedy at Sheremetyevo Airport. Yesterday, on the 5th of May, the Aeroflot plane, flying from Moscow to Murmansk, caught fire during an emergency landing at the Moscow’s airport.  According to preliminary data, 41 people were killed, 26 of them were residents of Murmansk region.

Today, a morning meeting held by Tatarstan President with the participation of members of the Government of the republic began with a moment of silence. Minnikhanov also sent a telegram of condolences to Acting Governor of Murmansk region Andrei Chibis.

“Dear Andrei Vladimirovich! Citizens of Tatarstan learned news of the deadly plane fire accident that occured at Sheremetyevo airport yesterday with pain and sincere empathy. We deeply condole with all those who lost their relatives and friends in the plane crash and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
