Tatarstan President visits Russia Halal Expo 2019 exhibition

On April 25, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Russia Halal Expo 2019 exhibition, organized on the sidelines of the 11th International Economic Summit “Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit-2019”.

Russia Halal Expo is the largest halal industry exhibition in Russia, aimed at showing the potential of the halal segment of the Russian economy and providing opportunities for manufacturers in Russia, the CIS countries and other countries to present their halal products and services and find new trade markets.

Over 84 exhibitors from Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan exhibited their products and services. Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kabardino-Balkaria, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk regions, the Republic of Mordovia, Mari El, the Republic of Dagestan, Chechnya, the Republic of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan were among the Russian participants of the exhibition.

The exhibition brought together companies representing such areas of the halal industry as food, clothes, finance, tourism, education, IT, medicine, cosmetics, jewelry, etc.

After visiting the exhibition, Minnikhanov signed a number of documents on cooperation, in particular, a memorandum of understanding between Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the Indonesian Halal Lifestyle Center, a memorandum of understanding between the Himgrad Technopolis and the Tashkent region of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
