Rustam Minnikhanov to attend IDEX Defence Exhibition in the UAE

On February 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Abu Dhabi (the United Arab Emirates) to take part in the 14th edition of IDEX-2019 International Defence Exhibition.

From February 17 to 21, pieces of weapons, military equipment, security systems from leading world manufacturers will be displayed at the ADNEC National Exhibition Centre. Demonstrations of modern wheeled and caterpillar vehicles and firing of various types of weapons will be the traditional part of the exhibition. NAVDEX-2019 Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition will be held alongside with IDEX-2019.

The Russian Federation also will showcase its weapons. This year, such companies as Rostec State Corporation, Rosoboronexport, Kalashnikov Concern, Almaz-Antey, Uralvagonzavod, Roselectronika, Angstrem, High-Precision Complexes, Tekhmash and a number of other national enterprises will take part in the exhibition.

Tomorrow, on the 17th of February, Tatarstan President will take part in the opening ceremony of the defence exhibition, and together with Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will look around the exposition.

Also, on the sidelines of IDEX-2019 Minnikhanov will have working meetings with senior managers of Golden Group and Tawazun defence and security companies.

On the 18th of February, Tatarstan President will continue his work with Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov.
