On March 5, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a traditional meeting with women – representatives of regional and federal media on the eve of International Women's Day.
The moderator of the meeting was Head of Tatarstan President’s Press Office Eduard Khairullin.
During the meeting, Minnikhanov congratulated women on the holiday of spring and answered a variety of questions.
He commented on the attitude to telegram - channels and the anonymity of some of them. "The question is not whether I like them or not," Rustam Minnikhanov said. "This is our life, and we must meet today's challenges. I look carefully at the materials that are brought. But when it's anonymous - many things are distorted, used in someone's interests. But there are those that correspond to reality. I think there are 20-30 per cent of the real events, but the rest is interpretation, that means the customer wants it. "
According to Minnikhanov, today, certainly, competition must be, “one cannot say only positive things, otherwise there will be no dynamics, no growth, if we only applaud and everything is fine”.
Answering questions about the reduction of the purchase price for agricultural products, Minnikhanov once again returned to the issue of ban on the import of dairy products of non-conforming quality.
According to him, consumer fraud takes place, when under the guise of real butter, palm butter is produced, under the guise of dairy products – products from reconstituted milk powder.
Tatarstan President emphasized that almost half of agricultural output falls to share of backyards, private subsidiary farms in Tatarstan. Farmers should be supported today, because we should value people, who produce quality products.
Minnikhanov said about the recent appointments in the Government of Tatarstan. He reminded that new leaders came to the posts of the Heads of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the republic, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and others.
One more pressing issue, which was touched upon by Minnikhanov was accommodation of citizen living in dilapidated housing.
Answering the question about awarding the status of Priority Social and Economic Development Area awarded to a number of cities of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minnikhanov noted that it is a big responsibility and trust of the Federal Government.
Now four cities have the status of Priority Social and Economic Development Area: Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Zelenodolsk and Chistopol.
