On August 22, speaking at a briefing at the regional Cabinet of Ministers, Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva said that main events as part of the regional charity campaign “Help Get Ready for School” will be held from the 23rd to the 31st of August on the eve of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan. As of today, 1,500 first graders and 1,000 pupils from the second to the eleventh grade have received schoolbags as a gift under the campaign.

As noted at the briefing, this year more than 47,000 children from Tatarstan will start school. About 20,000 schoolchildren will receive sponsorship aid for the new school year as part of the campaign, including future first-graders, as well as second-to-eleventh grade pupils, who need support.

For the first time this year, special attention is paid to children with disabilities in Tatarstan as part of the charitable work.

"The beginning of the school year is the starting point for a long journey for children. On behalf of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov the Regional Council for Charitable Activities together with the Association of Parents of Dyslexic Children will hold classes for teachers and medical workers working with impaired children. These specialists will work with children who find it difficult to get involved in the learning process," Fazleeva said.

Educational seminars will be held from the 18th to the 24th of September. They will be the continuation of the regional charity campaign "Help Get Ready for School". Also, together with the fund "In Your Favor" several educational sites for autistic children will be opened in the republic. Special classes will be organized in comprehensive schools.

Aide to Tatarstan President added that the funds for holding educational seminars for teachers and medical workers are not budgetary ones but have been collected by philanthropists. This work is supervised by the Regional Council for Charitable Activities.
