Rustam Minnikhanov lays flowers at the monument to Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai and attends a concert of masters of arts of Tatarstan in Moscow

On August 17, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai, which is located in a small park near Maly Tatar alley in close vicinity to the Tatar cultural centre. 

Later on the same day, Minnikhanov attended a concert of masters of arts of Tatarstan as part of the traditional Days of Tatarstan Culture in Moscow.

Speaking at the opening of a gala concert to mark the Days of Tatarstan in Moscow, Minnikhanov stressed that Moscow and Kazan have long-standing and strong friendly relations. Cooperation is carried out in a number of areas under the bilateral agreement, he added.

Addressing the guests of the event, Tatarstan President stressed that Moscow has traditionally set the tone for many positive projects that are later implemented in Russia and Tatarstan in particular.

In his turn Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Marat Khusnullin, who also attended the event, stressed the role Minnikhanov is playing in establishing good relations between the two capitals and read out greetings on behalf of Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin.
