Tatarstan agricultural workers picked up 595 thousand tonnes of grain

On August 12, at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov presented up-to-date information about the course of harvesting works. The meeting was held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin taking part in it.

Akhmetov said that 156, 000 hectares of the area have been harvested.

Zainsky, Nurlatsky, Apastovsky regions are the leaders in the harvesting campaign.

The work on the procurement of fodder is underway in the republic. 1.4 mln tonnes of fodder units or 3.6 centners per one livestock unit have been procured.

The minister informed that by the decision of Tatarstan President, 200 best combine drivers of the republic will receive a reward of 100, 000 roubles.
