Alexey Pesoshin familiarizes himself with the progress of construction of a new stadium in Volgograd

On August 28, during his working visit to Volgograd, Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin looked around a stadium under construction.

The stadium is being built for the FIFA World Cup. Besides, as part of the construction of river bank protection structures, a beach will appear at the embankment of Volgograd for the first time ever.

Pesoshin noted an interesting design of the stadium, a different infrastructure. "Such a structure is difficult to implement, but, as we can see, the work is going well. Tatarstan came through this stage in 2012-2013, when a new football stadium was being built during preparation for the Summer Universiade in Kazan. And this year we hosted the matches of the Confederations Cup at the already finished stadium. I want to wish builders of the stadium in Volgograd and the administration of the Volgograd region good luck because there is a lot of work to do. The last steps are always the most difficult. We have looked around your stadium and appreciated the amount of work and the number of construction workers," he said.
