Over a seven-month period more than 12,000 teenagers employed in Tatarstan

On August 8, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the republic Elmira Zaripova reported that over a seven-month period as many as 12,442 teenagers have been employed in Tatarstan, which makes 61 per cent of the annual plan.

She continued that this year 26.2 million roubles were allocated from the regional budget, by municipalities and employers for temporary employment of minors.

Zaripova also reported that a record low unemployment rate has been registered in the republic. "This has never happened in Tatarstan. To date, 12,900 people have been registered in employment centers, which offer 37,889 vacancies. We had the maximum number of vacancies in 2014, when we recorded 35,211 jobs," she noted.

Today, the regional unemployment rate makes 3.7 per cent, while the national figure is 5.2 per cent, Zaripova added.
