Russian and Tatarstan state awards handed in at the Kazan Kremlin

On July 20, Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin handed in Russian and Tatarstan state awards to the most worthy citizens of the republic.

Welcoming participants of the ceremony, Pesoshin thanked everyone for their dedicated work. "Each of you has its own sphere of activity, its own way. But all of you are united by true commitment to your work. Thanks to you, Tatarstan is one of the leading regions of the country in many respects. I sincerely thank you for your work. I wish you happiness and prosperity,” he said in particular.

Chief choreographer of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan Railya Garipova was conferred the honorary title "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation". People's Artist of Tatarstan, laureate of all-Russian competitions has led the dance group of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the republic for about 40 years.

Head of the department of ophthalmology of Kazan State Medical University Aleksandr Samoilov was awarded the honorary title "Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation". Samoilov started his career as a care worker. Now he is an ophthalmologist of the highest qualification category with working experience of more than 30 years.

The honorary certificate of the Russian President was handed in to Nurikhan Shamsiyarov for his merits in the development of health care and for many years of diligent work.

In total, 46 state awards were given in the field of culture, health, education, ecology, etc.
