Rustam Minnikhanov meets President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev in Bishkek

On July 20, during his working visit to Kyrgyzstan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Bishkek to take part in the International Forum “Altai Civilization and Related Peoples of the Altaic Language Family”, had a meeting with President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev.

Atambayev warmly greeted Minnikhanov, thanking him for coming to Kyrgyzstan and participating in the forum.

In his turn Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to President of Kyrgyzstan for his recent visit to Tatarstan, during which fruitful negotiations were held and a number of agreements were reached.

Minnikhanov also appreciated the importance of the forum “Altai Civilization and Related Peoples of the Altaic Language Family”, noting the relevance of this event. "Today, we all think about preserving our native language, culture and history. These issues are very important and deserve special attention,” he said.

During their meeting Minnikhanov and Atambayev discussed further development of comprehensive cooperation between Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan aimed at strengthening Russia-Kyrgyzstan friendly relations.
