Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: Relations between businessmen and authorities should be regulated

On July 11, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held the 5th session of the Tatarstan Presidential Council on entrepreneurship at Piramida complex.

Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Aide to Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, Chief of Staff of the Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, and other officials took part in the session.

Rustam Minnikhanov informed that by results of the work of expert groups more than 40 initiatives were supported, 60 federal and regional acts that influence business activities are to be changed.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan has held leading positions in the national rating of investment climate among territorial entities for three years. However, there are some problematic issues.

Minnikhanov said that the formation of municipal rating of business climate in the republic is an important issue.

Tatarstan Presidential Commissioner for the Rights of Businessmen Timur Nagumanov announced the results of the research of Tatarstan business environment. The list of problems that hinder development of business contains 15 points. Three of them depend on state regulation and can be controlled on the municipal level, - imperfection of legislation, administrative burden, and undeveloped infrastructure.  

Another topical issue was connected with placing outdoor signs and advertising structures. The approval scheme is very complicated and a lot of businessmen face delays and subjective assessment criteria.

Rustam Minnikhanov agreed that the approval procedure should be easier.
