Rustam Minnikhanov: First of all, the new gas-turbine power unit launched at Kazan Combined Heat and Power Plant-3 is the improved power supply reliability of the capital of Tatarstan

On June 19, speaking at a press-conference dedicated to the launch of a new gas-turbine power unit at Kazan Combine Heat and Power Plant-3, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that after its start-up the gas-turbine power plant has surpassed results stipulated by the Contract in terms of capacity and economy.

"It is more efficient than existing power-generating units. It is a good example and the best unit that has been developed and delivered by General Electric. We have further plans for cooperation, which means that the energy efficiency of our plants will be improved," Minnikhanov said.

Today we should supply electricity to the open market, that is, the capacities that we will have will be fully required, he said.

Minnikhanov also said that at today's meeting with senior managers of General Electric further plants as well as possibilities of using the experience of the corporate university "General Electric" were discussed.

Minnikhanov stressed that first of all, the new gas-turbine power unit is the improved power supply reliability of the capital of Tatarstan.
