Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev lay flowers at the monument to poet Alexander Pushkin in Kazan

On June 6, on the birthday of Alexander Pushkin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers at the monument to the Great Russian poet.

A traditional meeting dedicated to the poet's birthday and the Russian Language Day was held at the venue near the monument in Kazan (Pushkin Street). Schoolchildren, representatives of public organizations, the creative and scientific community took part in the event.
