On June 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed over keys to new Ford Transit cars to Chief Physician of the Kazan ambulance station.

The car fleet of the Kazan ambulance station was updated with new cars that will also be used during the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017.

Before the ceremony, Minister of Health of the republic Adel Vafin told Minnikhanov about the equipment installed inside the amblance cars to provide urgent medical aid.

Delivering his welcoming speech, Tatarstan President expressed his confidence that the renewed fleet of ambulances would allow for faster response and quicker arrival to people to provide emergency medical assistance. According to him, ambulances have all the conditions for providing urgent medical aid to citizens, as they are equipped in accordance with modern requirements.

Addressing doctors and medical workers, Minnikhanov noted that the main task is to effectively operate new ambulances. "There are still a lot of complaints from our citizens for the provision of medical services," Tatarstan President stated. “This is because of the insufficient number of equipment, its inefficient use, the absence of specialists and poor organization of work."

On the part of the Government and the republic, we are trying to resolve all issues, Minnikhanov said. “We are investing a lot of funds into the healthcare sector, its material and technical base, transportation facilities, but the professional part, the organization of work is the responsibility of the Ministry of Health of the republic,” Minnikhanov said.

"I am sure that we have an excellent medical school, excellent specialists. We will support you and I hope that we will see the results," Minnikhanov summed up.
