01.06.2017

On June 1, during the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of the Tula region Alexey Dyumin signed an agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres.

The development of horizontal ties between the regions is very important, Minnikhanov stressed. He noted that Tatarstan has established strong trade and economic relations with the Tula region.

"The Tula region is the largest industrial centre. Our mutual turnover is great. Today an updated agreement on cooperation between our regions was signed. To fill it with concrete projects, an action plan will be developed in the near future. We will meet twice a year, in Kazan and Tula, to discuss the results of our work," Tatarstan President said.

"Tatarstan is an advanced region, from which we have much to learn, to adopt new technologies. The Tula region in its turn also has certain achievements in various areas, which we are ready to share. Our colleagues have visited Kazan many times to get acquainted with new practices. Today we are cooperating in all areas," Governor of the Tula region added.

According to Dyumin, the signed agreement will give a new impetus to the development of interregional cooperation between Tatarstan and the Tula region.
