On May 17, at the invitation of Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov became honourable guests of the 5th Open Championship of the Chechen Republic in tactical shooting among law enforcement agencies. The championship is dedicated to the memory of the Hero of Russia, First President Akhmat-Khadji Kadyrov.

The championship is held at the International Training Center for Special Forces in the city of Gudermes from the 16th to the 17th of May, 2017. Despite the construction and extension of the Centre, special forces units from Russian regions are already being trained there. Ramzan Kadyrov and Aide to Head of the Chechen Republic, First Deputy Head of the Chechen Department of Federal National Guard Troops Service of the Russian Federation Daniil Martynov conducted an excursion around the Centre. The guests also saw demonstration performances of the championship participants.

"We are amazed at the scale of the construction of this Centre. I think it will be the best educational centre for training specialists for the armed and law enforcement forces in the world. Today, the country needs professionals, including those who can quickly and in a quality manner solve similar combat tasks. We made sure in this today. First of all, it is important that when carrying out a combat mission, they can rescue themselves and, of course, rescue those people who need their help. I think that law enforcement agencies from Tatarstan will also be able to undergo the necessary training here," Minnikhanov shared his impressions.
