Rustam Minnikhanov attends a concert of masters of arts of the Republic of Tatarstan in Astrakhan

On May 12, during his working visit to Astrakhan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended a big concert of masters of the arts of the Republic of Tatarstan at the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Before the concert, Minnikhanov and Governor of the Astrakhan Region Alexander Zhilkin visited the exhibition of products of folk arts and crafts of the Republic of Tatarstan organized in the theatre hall.

Welcoming the guests, Zhilkin noted that today representatives of more than 150 ethnicities live peacefully together in the Astrakhan region.

Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan and the Astrakhan region have strong friendly relations. "I want to thank Alexander Zhilkin for his attention to representatives of all ethnicities and religions. Today, there are more than 60,000 Tatars living in the region, honorably representing the Astrakhan region," he said.

Minnikhanov thanked the Governor for his support and assistance in organizing the concert.

Before the concert, the guests were shown a short film about Tatarstan. Then, leading vocal and dancing groups of the republic, stars of the Tatar stage performed at the stage of the theatre.
