Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chinese Consul General to Kazan Wu Yingqin

On May 10, at his meeting with Chinese Consul General to Kazan Wu Yingqin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan appreciates the high level of relations with China. The republic is actively cooperating with Chinese partners, close ties have been established with a number of Chinese provinces, companies and universities, he said.

According to Tatarstan President, joint activities with Chinese companies are carried out in such fields as petrochemistry, machine building, automotive industry, computerization, agriculture, construction, health-care and tourism. In particular, last year the Ammoniy mineral fertilizer factory, which was built with the participation of the Chinese National Chemical Engineering Corporation, was launched in Mendeleevsk. Moreover, the Haier company opened its factory to produce refrigeration equipment in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Minnikhanov expressed his confidence that Wu Yingqing's activities as Consul General of China to Kazan will contribute to the further strengthening of fruitful cooperation between Tatarstan and People's Republic of China as part of dynamically developing Russia-China relations.
