Alexey Pesoshin lays flowers at war graves at Arsk cemetery in Kazan

On May 9, at the Arsk cemetery in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin laid flowers at war graves and obelisk in memory of those, who fell in the Great Patriotic War.

After laying a wreath at the monument to the soldiers, the ceremony participants had a minute of silence to honour their memory. Then a three-times volley from submachine-guns was fired and the Russian national anthem was performed by cadets wearing the uniform of Soviet soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, helmets and automatic weapons of that time.

Pesoshin also looked around the monument to Major General Rakhim Maksutov, which was opened at the Arsk cemetery yesterday, on the 8th of May. A representative of the search group told the Prime Minister about feats of the famous commander, a native of Tatarstan. Pesoshin laid flowers at the grave of the major general.

Pesoshin also laid flowers at the grave of Alexander Bondarenko, participant of the Great Patriotic War, former chairman of Executive Committee of the Kazan City Council of People's Deputies.
