On April 25, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Minister of Health of the republic Farida Yarkaeva said that about 30,000 veterans of World War II, or more than 51 per cent of all categories of veterans, including homefront workers, underwent regular examination. "With the participation of mobile physician teams, almost 60 per cent of those, who underwent medical monitoring, were examined at home," she said.

"By May 9, medical examination of the primary categories of veterans will be fully completed. During the year regular monitoring of other categories will be continued with the provision of medical and recreational services," Yarkayeva said.
