Tatarstan President holds meeting with Governor of Iranian Razavi Khorasan Province Ali Reza Rashidiyan

On April 20, during his working visit to Mashhad (Iran), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met the Governor of Iranian Razavi Khorasan Province Ali Reza Rashidiyan.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the governor for the invitation to visit the province and highly appreciated organization of the visit of the Tatarstan delegation in Mashhad and hospitality.

“Razavi Khorasan is one of the leading provinces in Iran. We are interested in the development of strong friendly relations on the regional level. Your province takes up leading positions in a number of areas. You have diversified agriculture, industry, rich cultural and historical heritage,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

He continued that strengthening of cooperation with Iran is very important for Tatarstan.

Tatarstan has wide experience of cooperation with Iran. The Consulate General of Iran has been working in Kazan for 10 years, the governments signed a Memorandum on trade cooperation. A number of Tatarstan companies have approved themselves in Iranian market.   

Ali Reza Rashidiyan said he is well aware of Tatarstan. The delegation from Razavi Khorasan Province visited Kazan last December.

Representatives of Iranian region got familiar with Tatarstan’s achievements in the sphere of engineering, petrochemistry, and innovations.

The Governor offered to intensify cooperation in cultural, educational, technological spheres, tourism, halal market, exhibition and investment activities.
