Rustam Minnikhanov lays the foundation stone of Bogorodskoye Gas Distribution Station

On April 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of laying the foundation stone of Bogorodskoye gas distribution station in Pestrechinsky region of the republic.

The facility will be built as part of the investment project for the reconstruction of the Minnibaevo-Kazan gas pipeline at the 220-285 km section. 

Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities of the republic Irek Faizullin, Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Kazan Rafkat Kantyukov, Head of Pestrechinsky municipal region Eduard Diyarov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the event.

“This is a significant event for our republic”, Minnikhanov said in his welcoming speech: “Effective gas supply is an important component of every major project being implemented in Tatarstan. The power of the gas distribution station “Bogorodskoye” will allow us to solve all the tasks that are planned for the next 50-70 years”.

Minnikhanov noted that the performance of the new gas distribution system will be more than 5 billion cubic metres per year, which will solve problems with gas shortage in the residential and industrial areas in Kazan, Pestrechinsky and Laishevsky regions.

Tatarstan President thanked the staff of Gazprom Transgaz Kazan. “The company has solved all main problems recently, including in Innopolis and Nizhnekamsk”, he said.

Rafkat Kantyukov added that the implementation of this project will provide an opportunity to increase the reliability of gas supplies to consumers and thereby contribute to the development of the regions of the republic.

Then, Tatarstan President and Director General of Gazprom Transgaz Kazan put a symbolic stone in the foundation of Bogorodskoye gas distribution station. It is planned to complete the construction in November 2017.
