Aleksey Pesoshin: I am ready to do my best and fulfill tasks set by Tatarstan President

On April 17, at the 27th session of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksey Pesoshin said that the proposal of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to nominate him for the position of Prime Minister of the republic is a great responsibility.

“Very high standards have been set in many industries. Serious work on ensuring further economic development and increasing quality of citizens’ lives is to be done. Such an approach enables Tatarstan to be one of the leading regions of the country,” Pesoshin said.

He noted that executive authorities continue taking measures on balanced development of territories and industries.

“According to the Strategy-2030, the GRP is expected to be more that 5 trillion roubles with the growing economic and social indicators, including life expectancy. In order to achieve such ambitious goals in a current difficult economic situation we need to respond to emerging threats and risks in time,” he said.

Pesoshin said that coping with “monostructure” of industrial towns is one of the key challenges for the republic. Along with development of Alabuga and Innopolis SEZ, industrial parks and technoparks, small and medium-sized business has big potential.

Aleksey Pesoshin continued that the implementation of existing programmes, such as capital repair of houses, liquidation of dilapidate housing, solution of problems of deceived participants of shared construction, development of road infrastructure, support of agricultural producers, and social support of population, and execution of “May orders” of the Russian President are of high importance.

“I will do my best to work as a team with my colleagues at the Government, deputies, and municipalities for efficient implementation of tasks set by Tatarstan President, in order to achieve prosperity of our people,” Pesoshin summarized.
