New sports portal sport.tatarstan.ru launched in Tatarstan

On March 6, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport of the republic Vladimir Leonov said that a sports web portal of Tatarstan, the first of its kind in Russia, is a flagship project of the Ministry. 

The portal brings together all state and municipal children's and youth sports schools and facilities in one convenient interface.

The website is located at sport.tatarstan.ru. Employees of organizations and municipalities have started to work on its content. Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetyevsk, Sabinsky region, as well as the Volga Region Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, which are actively participating in the project implementation, are among pilot regions. To date, all municipalities, as well as regional institutions of physical culture and sports have been connected to the portal system.

Speaking at the briefing Leonov said that more than 270 sports facilities have been added to the portal. They include covered ice palaces, swimming pools, gyms, sports schools.

According to the Minister, the portal's homepage offers users to choose a sports facility based on their needs. In particular, you can search for children's and youth sports schools, sports facilities for sports fans or those who are just beginning to be interested in sports, facilities for people with disabilities.
