Aleksey Pesoshin takes part in Council meeting of Yelabuga municipal region

On February 20, during his working visit to Yelabuga municipal region, Acting Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the 19th meeting of the regional Council of the 3rd convocation on results of social and economic development of the region in 2016 and tasks for 2017.

Before the event, Pesoshin and other officials looked around an exhibition of products of local organizations and institutions.

Making a report at the meeting, Head of the region Gennady Emelyanov said, in particular, that in 2016 among 45 municipalities Yelabuga municipal region moved five lines up, from the 14th to 9th place, in the rating of social and economic development.

Pesoshin voiced main social and economic indicators of the republic in 2016. Speaking of Yelabuga, Pesoshin noted that the region is considered to be one of the flagships of the economic development of the republic. This level has been achieved mainly due to Alabuga Special Economic Zone, he said.

At the same time Yelabuga is the second largest museum, historical and tourist centre after Kazan. He appreciated achievements of the region in general and results achieved in 2016, when the region moved five lines up in the rating, in particular. Pesoshin expressed gratitude to the leadership of the city, public deputies, heads of rural settlements for their significant contribution to social and economic development of the republic: "Your hard work is the key to success, thank you!".

Summing up, Acting Prime Minister of Tatarstan handed in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished specialists of the region.
