Rustam Minnikhanov: the main issues are attraction of new residents to Innopolis and supply of companies with qualified workers

On February 6, at a meeting on topical issues of the development of Innopolis (the innovative city in Verkhneuslonsky region, Tatarstan), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the main issues are attraction of new residents to Innopolis and supply of companies with qualified workers.

Making a report on attraction of residents and partners to Innopolis, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov said that there are 46 companies working in Innopolis. As of the end of 2016, 39 of them acquired residency status, and 544 jobs were created.

The area of 10 thousand square metres at Popov technopark was leased out. The key companies are Sberbank Technoogies, Kaspersky, Yandex, Bars group, Universal financial system UFS, and others. A resource center aimed at supply of companies with qualified personnel was founded in September 2016.

By results of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov asked to intensify work on attraction of IT companies and meet scheduled dates for the construction and commissioning of facilities in the innovative city.
