Rustam Minnikhanov invites Chairman of Emaar Properties (the UAE) Mohamed Alabbar to visit Tatarstan

On January 3, during his working visit to Dubai (the UAE), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Chairman of Emaar Properties Mohamed Alabbar.

Emaar Properties is engaged in construction of trade centres, international hotels, malls, office centres, etc. The company built the world's tallest tower Burj Khalifa and is the owner and operator of the world's largest shopping mall The Dubai Mall.

The company has been in the market for about 19 years. Headquartered in Dubai, it has subsidiaries in 11 countries. Emaar Properties employs about 6,000 people, 500 of them are managerial staff.

The company carries out projects based on a public-private partnership, with about 30 per cent of the company owned by the state and 60 per cent – by shareholders.

During their meeting Minnikhanov and Mohamed Alabbar discussed prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation. In particular, Mohamed Alabbar told Tatarstan President about the history of the company, its development prospects.

Rustam Minnikhanov invited Chairman of Emaar Properties to visit Tatarstan to see into possibilities for cooperation in terms of development business.

CEO of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Trade-economic representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Dubai Timur Khairutdinov and other officials took part in the meeting.
