Prime Minister of Tatarstan at the contest “Ecoleader”: Environmental issues are becoming priority ones

On December 8, at the awarding ceremony of the winners of annual regional contests “Ecoleader” and “Man and nature” at Piramida complex in Kazan, it was announced that Tatneft PJSC named after V.D.Shashin became the winner.

The contests are held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the republic every year. This year more than 1,000 projects were presented at the contests, and most of them were dedicated to the Year of water protection zones 2016 in Tatarstan.  

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov said that the contest “Ecoleader” has become more important and reminded that 2015 was announced the Year of parks and squares and 2016 - the Year of water protection zones in the republic.

Ildar Khalikov also noted that many ecological problems have been solved and have become common for everyone, municipal authorities, law enforcement bodies, schools, industrial enterprises, and public organizations realize their potential in this sphere.  

The Prime Minister handed in diplomas and cups to winners of the contest “Ecoleader” in nominations “For achievements in the sphere of environmental protection in a rural settlements”, “For achievements in the sphere of environmental protection in a municipal region”, and “For achievements in the sphere of environmental protection in a town”.
