Tatarstan and Rosseti Power Company sign agreement to cooperate in IT field

On September 30, at the International Investment Forum in Sochi Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Rosseti Power Company Oleg Bugardin signed an agreement on cooperation between Tatarstan and Rosseti.

The agreement envisages joint work in the field of cloud data storage and processing technologies, developing secure systems and networks, and collecting and processing Earth remote probing data to monitor contiguous areas.

The cooperation between the parties is strategic and longterm. It is open for expansion and improvement of fields and forms of joint activities, the document reads.

Commenting on the signed agreement, Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov noted that Rosseti consideres the city of Innopolis (Tatarstan) as an area for establishing a competence centre aimed at adjusting and improving Russian software for the company’s needs.

“Moreover, our partners are interested in cooperating with Innopolis University in the field of cloud data storage and management technologies, developing secure systems and networks, and improvement of personnel skills,” the Minister said.
