Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in business breakfast of Sberbank during Sochi international investment forum

On September 30, during Sochi international investment forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in Sberbank business breakfast "Budget pie: How to Cut it the Right Way?” moderated by Sberbank Board Chairman German Gref.

German Gref said that according to results of surveys, public officials and employees, businessmen and workers of state-financed organizations are concerned about budget issues and development of budget policy. Regional budget policy was in the limelight at the discussion.

The Governor of Orlov region Vadim Potomsky said that the Tatarstan’ s experience of in creating Alabuga Special Economic Zone is the best example of the application of invested federal funds, and asked Rustam Minnikhanov to share this experience.

“There are 48 residents in Alabuga, and we are attracting five more residents. 100 bln of private funds have been invested, 22 plants are working, and we will open two more plants soon,” Minnikhanov said.

Minnikhanov noted as well that attraction of new investors for Priority Social and Economic Development Areas is important.  

German Gref, in his turn, emphasized that the examples of Tatarstan, Kaluga region and Moscow show that the role of regional administrations is of great importance.
