Rustam Minnikhanov holds meeting on historical sites in Kazan center

On December 21, during his detour of sites in the historical center of Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov looked around wooden houses built over a hundred years ago.

The detour began with the Kalinin street, where well-preserved sites of wooden architecture are located.

The next object detoured was a wooden house with features of the cultural heritage. Saint Joasaph (Udalov) Bishop of Chistopol lived there in 1937, (Tihomirnova Street, 31). He was subject to repression and in the 60s of the last century he was canonized as a saint.

Then, Tatarstan President inspected capital repair of a health care facility to accommodate the Regional Clinical Oncology Center of Tatarstan Ministry of Health. Minnikhanov was told that major repairs will be completed in August 2015.
